Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who came to our shows and helped make this a great tour. We really appreciate it! We're going to start talking about our next tour soon and we hope we'll see you all again.

We returned from the tour to find that we had been nominated for Best Roots Act in the Providence Phoenix (and Chris was nominated for Best Blues Act).

About Chris and Jake

Chris Monti and Jacob Haller are Providence, RI-based musicians who have been playing together in a variety of bands (blues, hip-hop, afro-beat, rock & roll, you name it!) since 2002. Their blues-inflected music has been compared to Paul Geremia, Arlo Guthrie, and Greg Brown and described as fresh, catchy, and quirky. Their first tour together is planned to start on March 17 2011 (see the table on the right for their itinerary).

About their CDs

Home is Chris Monti's third CD. It features a dozen recordings which showcase his inventive songwriting and strong guitar playing. You'll hear everything from country blues to a Chuck Berry-style rocker, with side detours to New Orleans and CBGBs. Many of the songs are quite personal and refer to events from Chris's own life - 'My Old Man' is a tribute to his father, and 'Honey Bee' is an upbeat blues tune inspired by watching a bee recover from an early frost.

Mistaken Identity is Jacob Haller's first CD and contains twelve original blues, folk, and country tunes on topics ranging from organ theft to love gone wrong to robots and kittens. It's a mixture of solo and group performances, with a few songs ('A Dozen Lovely Roses', 'You're The Tea In My Teacup', and 'Lady Luck') featuring Chris Monti on backing vocals and various instruments.

You can listen to tracks from Home and Mistaken Identity below.
